Catalonia Hotels & Resorts invests 20 millon dollars to improve their Dominican Republic Facilities

Our Resorts at the Dominican Republic, Catalonia Bavaro Beach, Catalonia Gran Dominicus y Catalonia Royal Bavaro, have improved their services by expanding their leisure offer and by the remodeling of rooms and outdoor areas.

Since three years ago and until 2016, the hotel chain will continue to improve their resorts located at the Dominican Republic, betting in the offer of new and better experiences for their guests.

Some of the highlights of this investment are:

Catalonia Hotels & Resorts has just widened its presence in the Dominican Republic, now managing one of the main business hotels in the capital. The incorporation of Catalonia Santo Domingo to Hotel’s Portfolio ratifies the chain expansion. Also, the importance of applying the high-quality standards, both in owned properties and in hotels managed by the chain.

Even more than the 80% of the hotels are property owned, the tendency of the chain for the last few years has been to direct its expansion plans to rent models or exclusive management.

Enrique Borrás, our Latin America and the Caribbean Expansion Director, points that:

“our growing model is being more intense for rent contracts or administration. We offer a great range of possibilities to owners and investors, that at the same time need that someone manages and takes care of their active, giving value to this business and complying with very strict quality standards”.

What Catalonia Hotels & Resorts is looking for with this new direction is to create alliances with investors interested in common goals, taking the most of the rentability to the active giving more value to the facilities. With more than 30 years of experience in the sector and more than 50 hotels owned, Borras confirms that “our partners will benefit from our solid commercial focus and our great position in the hotel scene”.
