Tipping in Mexico’s Caribbean Resorts

When staying at our All Inclusive Caribbean Resorts you get what you pay for. So, what about tipping in the Caribbean?

It is customary to tip in Mexico, and in most countries in Latin America, and tipping is expected in many situations though it is generally not required. Keep in mind that most of the people working in Mexico’s service industries rely on tips to earn a living wage.

Although the Catalonia Staff members get paid  for their work, and tipping is not necessary since service is included in the price you pay upfront, guests know that our team does it’s best to give an outstanding service, so if you feel like, it’s a good idea to show your appreciation by giving a tip.

Tipping guidelines for Mexico are nearly the same as in the United States or Canada, with some exceptions.

If arriving in Mexico without Mexican currency, pesos can easily be obtained at ATM’s or Money Exchange booths at our Resorts. US dollars are happily welcomed by the Staff, too.
