Vondelpark<\/h2>\n

The most famous park in Amsterdam<\/strong>, this is right in the centre, close to all the main tourist sites and museums. It’s popular and busy, but with so many lawns, paths, ponds, and wooded areas<\/strong>, this park always has a quiet spot where you can relax. In summer there are open air concerts<\/strong> and, in the winter, visitors can enjoy ice skating<\/a>. As well as caf\u00e9s and a children’s play park, there’s a rose garden and sculptures<\/strong> to look out for, including one by Picasso.
\nA few minutes from the park is the Catalonia Vondelpark<\/a> hotel, a great option for travellers looking for a different space and attention to detail, where to stay and enjoy the city.<\/p>\n

Oosterpark<\/h2>\n

Here you will find a kid’s wading pool and a pond where all kinds of birds can be spotted. Sculptures are dotted throughout the park, and it is often full of people walking, biking, and relaxing at the caf\u00e9 in the centre. There are often food trucks, farmers markets, and craft fairs at the weekends.<\/p>\n

Sarphatipark<\/h2>\n

Lawns and ponds make this another relaxing place to while away some time in the city. There is a memorial to the doctor who founded the park, Samuel Sarphati<\/strong>, a 19th-century physician who was also a city planner. This is a perfect place to find peace and tranquillity.<\/p>\n

Frankendael Park<\/h2>\n

This seven-acre park<\/strong> is the site of the former estate of the 17th-century house that can still be seen there today. The restaurants are well worth a visit and if you arrive early you can enjoy a peaceful stroll in the park before your meal.<\/p>\n

Beatrixpark<\/h2>\n

Established in the 1930s, this park has pretty paths and a pond<\/strong>, as well as a popular children’s playground and paddling pool. Look out for the fantastic sculptures<\/strong> as you wander through this peaceful site.<\/p>\n

Amsterdamse Bos<\/h2>\n

On the outskirts of the city, the Amsterdam Forest is an ideal place to spend time with family or friends<\/strong>. There’s an organic farm and petting zoo, a tree-top adventure course, and boat trips on the lake<\/strong>. With lots of walking and biking trails, and places to stop for a drink, this park has all the ingredients for a perfect day out<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Rembrandtpark<\/h2>\n

Another great option, this pubic park features lakes, playgrounds, and pathways for walking, running, and cycling<\/strong>. You will also find some art and sculptures here so look out for the giant green man sculpture<\/strong>! Various food and music festivals take place here, and there is a petting area, too.<\/p>\n

There are other parks you could visit too, like the Amstelpark where<\/strong> you can find a statue of Rembrandt, and the most iconic Dutch sight of all<\/strong>, a windmill!
