Together, we work to make wishes come true for children with diverse illnesses. Every step we took in the race contributed to this noble cause.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-22505\" src=\"\/en\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/catalonia-5k-race-playa-maroma.jpg\" alt=\"Kids getting ready to participate in the Catalonia 5K race\" width=\"1200\" height=\"671\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Another very important pillar to highlight in this race was <strong>sustainability<\/strong>. We wanted to promote <strong>environmental awareness<\/strong> while enjoying the thrill of the sport. Therefore, we took measures to minimize our ecological impact during the event:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Medals for participants were made from recyclable materials.<\/li>\n<li>We used eco-friendly T-shirts made from sustainable fabrics.<\/li>\n<li>At the hydration stations, we used reusable cups to reduce waste.<\/li>\n<li>Each runner received a kit that included reusable and environmentally friendly products.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>At <strong>Catalonia Hotels &amp; Resorts<\/strong>, we believe in the importance of protecting the environment.
