On May 22nd, Catalonia Gran Dominicus held a 5K race in which our guests and associates were able to participate.
The race started at the resort entrance with a 2.5k route, each way.
The reason for this race was for our “School St. Pierre Lamontagne” project in Haiti, in which we have previously delivered school supplies, uniforms, and common area buildings construction, amongst other donations.
Furthermore, this time, we wanted to raise money in a more fun, entertaining and healthy way; and above all to be able to involve all our guests.
We recognized the solidarity of all those who participated in the race with the following prizes:
We awarded our guests with
1st place: An excursion to the Saona Island
2nd Place: an Upgrade to a Privileged Room
3rd place: Lobster dinner for four people
We awarded our associates with
1st place: An excursion to the Saona Island
2nd Place: A day pass at a hotel in the area for two people
3rd place: A day pass at a hotel in the area for two people
We raised about $ 500 which will go to fund our school in Haiti. We thank everyone for this unconditional gesture of solidarity by helping to ensure joy to these children.
