Seville is one of the best cities in Spain to visit for a trip full of culture, history, and gorgeous sights. If you’re looking for something a little different on your holidays, it  could be the perfect place, as along with all the flamenco and Moorish heritage, there  are lots of famous filming locations in Seville to visit.

Architecturally stunning, Seville makes a perfect movie location because of the variety of styles found in this lively town. The Moorish influence found throughout Andalusia is in evidence, but also perfect for the camera are the stylish European streets and modern architecture that contribute to the rich landscape of this charming city. Lots of movies and television series have been filmed in Seville so you can enjoy looking out for familiar sights as you stroll the streets. Casa de Pilatos, a stunning palace with an incredible azulejo collection, features in various films, including Hollywood hits, such as Lawrence of Arabia, and Ridley Scott’s 1492: Conquest of Paradiseand Kingdom of Heaven. More recently, Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz were there to film Knight and Day. The legendary Star Wars Episode 2: Attack of the Clones was also filmed in Seville and Plaza de España was used as the set for the city of Theed, so have a wander through the square to follow in the footsteps of star Nathalie Portman.

For a real adventure, try taking part in the Seville Game of Thrones tour to find out about all the locations used for the famous series. There are locations within the city itself and in nearby towns. The Roman archaeological site of Italica, the shipyards, and the castle of Almodóvar del Río can all be spotted in the hugely popular show, as well as the town of Osuna.
