Beautiful hotel, great breakfast buffet, loved the gigantic private terrace (room 803) and a refreshing dip in the swimming pool. Very spot on cleaning service every day

Simply a good Hotel

The hotel is, to Barcelona standards, priced competetively. It offers nice rooms, good breakfast and a surprising rooftop swimming pool withe a vieuw over the city’s roofscape. Gracia, the creative neighborhood at armslength!

We have been clients of this hotel for approximately 18 years, several visits each year ( apart from 2020 2021 Covid ) and have always found all staff very helpful. This year all staff were extremely helpful including cleaners.The reception staff and management were exceptionally helpful and always appeared happy and pleased to assist.We look forward to our next visit in the new year, we would have no hesitation in recommending your hotel. Review

Made this booking back in July for a November stay. Booking was done on the Hotel website and was smooth with no concerns. On arrival, we were welcomed by 2 (Alan and Derek) nice young men who were kind to us and communicated in English. On arrival to our room, there was a foul smell from the bathroom which we thought was from not being used...we also turned on the heater because the temperature had dropped a bit. We had a shower and next thing we heard raindrops in our room!!!....we called for help and there was prompt response, we were told that we had to turn off the heater and not to turn it on again as there was no heat in the hotel!... Okay!!!!...we were given extra blankets, the floor was cleaned and received profuse apologies. Overnight the stench from the bathroom got worse. In the morning, we went to the supermarket next door and bought airfreshners for the rooms....seemed like it had no effect. We reported to the front desk on Friday evening and we were told there was no other room with a patio that was available and that maintenance would be there on Monday (we checked in on Thursday). We spoke with the manager on Monday who apologized profusely but had to endure this stench and no heat or air until we were moved by the manager on Wednesday. Essentially a whole week living in the stench with no air or heat....We stayed because of the location, our son was in the Generator hostel across the road with his soccer camp mates and it was just convenient to walk across the street to see him, catch the team bus etc...all for our son! We moved to another room on Wednesday and it got better but I drenched the room in my perfume and had airfreshner everywhere. The daily breakfast was good and the staff was generally nice but for the older man who is the kitchen manager (I presume), who was extremely hostile and rude. There was a young lady there who always had a smile on her face and was always welcoming.

Had an amazing time staying in Catalonia Gracia Hotel. Super central area, the service was great and the rooms are great as well!! Recommend anyone coming to Barcelona to stay here for a couple of nights!

Great Location but some rectifiable annoyances!

6 Night Stay. Great location, friendly if not very attentive Reception Staff. Nice clean and reasonably spacious room but: Maintenance noise - hammering & drilling on two separate days - Fri & Mon! Cigarette smoke in room! Part of metal towel rail fell to the floor - was partially repaied but remained loose.

Perfect location, fantastic helpful staff, all amenities great.

Staff were extremely helpful, enjoyable to deal with and accommodating. Great restaurant recommendations, good taxi hailing skills. Location in Gracia area was superb, easy to walk, taxi to many areas and not too touristy. We loved it. Booked it for the pool, never used it as bit cloudy and pool quite small, but everything else great. Our room had everything we required, good size, lovely view to art nouveau buildings and plane trees across the road.

Comfy room but no view

It was a normal hotel room, adequate for sleeping in. The windows looked out at a wall of the adjacent property so we had no natural light. We were woken by a lot of noise outside the room, which turned out to be the cleaner, but to be fair it was after 8am as we'd slept in really late for us.

Wonderful stay

I had a wonderful 11 day stay at the Catalonia Gracia. The accommodations were comfortable, clean, and staff were friendly and helpful. During my checkout, I found out that there was a breakfast charged to my account. I let the staff know that I had not had any meals in the hotel and that this was an error. The immediately removed the charge without any problems. The hotel is located in a great and convenient part of the city. I would stay here again.
