GASTROBAR CONTEMPO
Discover a new concept of tapas in the heart of Barcelona. Our chef Josep Jorba has created a surprising tapas menu that you can enjoy in a groundbreaking space with different atmospheres. Have a vermouth with a bomb from Barceloneta or try the brioche with caramelized eel. For lunch or dinner, let yourself be tempted by our gastro formula or by the tapas tasting menu. You will repeat!

ROOM SERVICE
We know how comfortable it is in our rooms, so why go out? In our room service you will find the variety you are looking for without leaving the comfort of your room. Let yourself be surprised by our room service menu, with a variety of Mediterranean meat, pasta, fish, pizza and vegetarian options. If you are a lover of Japanese cuisine, order sushi and choose from trays with your favorite makis to miso soup, yakisoba noodles or tuna tataki. Save room for dessert!

Have breakfast every day as if it were Sunday in our large buffet. Just a few metres from Plaça Catalunya square, the establishment has over 340m2 of refurbished meeting rooms. The revamped venue has room for up to 250 people and is perfect for holding meetings, conferences, congresses, banquets or any other type of event. The meeting room is fitted with multiple technological details and can be divided into three fully independent spaces. The all-new Catalonia Plaza Catalunya meeting room boasts three large HD LED screens and dome cameras for seamless video conferencing, with wireless video and audio connections and a quality surround-sound system. The hotel has free wifi throughout all the facilities. The rooms are decorated in elegant tones, with very versatile furniture. Our convention staff will be delighted to help you with everything you need to make your event a success and can propose tailored solutions adapted to your needs. The Modernist-style hotel also has another 80m2 room with natural light for up to 60 people, located next to the building's inner courtyard. This is where you can find the outdoor pool, another original space for holding al fresco events. If the name of the credit card supplied when booking at the Catalonia Plaza Catalunya hotel does not coincide with the name of the guest, please contact the hotel in advance. An identity check and valid credit card are required to check in. The hotel reserves the right to pre-authorise the credit card prior to the entry date. If the card is invalid, we will contact you to request a valid card. If more than 24 hours have passed, the reservation may be cancelled.
For bookings of more than 4 rooms or more than 8 nights, payment must be made in advance at this establishment. Once the booking has been made, the hotel will contact guests to organise advance, non-cancellable payment.
The pool will be closed from 31/10 to 31/03 (dates subject to change).

We were 2 guests but received a triple room which was divided by a wall between the double and third bed which left us with less space in the area that we used although the room was renovated . The lamp attached to the bed kept falling out and the enlarging mirror in the bathroom was broken

Pleasant stay in central location
Pros: • Great Location: Centrally located and close to the metro, making it easy to explore Barcelona. • Modern and Chic Room: The room was stylish and comfortable, offering a pleasant stay. • Excellent Soundproofing: Despite the F1 fan street festival in the central square next door, we couldn’t hear a thing, ensuring a peaceful stay. Cons: • Bathroom Issues: The bathroom had some mould due to a lack of fan ventilation. • No Hair Conditioner: It was disappointing that no hair conditioner was provided. Overall, the hotel’s excellent location, stylish rooms, and effective soundproofing make it a great choice, but improvements in bathroom maintenance and amenities would enhance the experience.

Very nice hotel
My experience at hotel Catalonia was excellent beginning from the front desk where they were very friendly and serving me with a smile on their face. Even though I arrived before the booking time with an hour, they had the room ready and checked me in. The room was very nice, clean and with all the amenities. Wifi is strong in the room and minibar is stocked. The bathroom is big and clean and good towels. Room service was done every day, good job. The hotel is a few meters from Plaza Catalunya and La Rambla.Very easy to access metro or buses and taxis are outside the hotel always and the price to use taxi is affordable. Very nice experience on our trip to Barcelona and the hotel Catalonia was a part of it.
