The hotel's façade captures all the glances of pedestrians passing through Atocha street. Neoclassical in style, it stands out for its balconies, decorated with a multitude of plasterwork and ironwork. It is an original building from the beginning of the 20th century and is part of the Villa de Madrid historical complex. It is located in the expansion that King Felipe IV ordered and in which the fences that marked the limits of the capital were demolished so that the city could continue to grow.

The facilities of the Catalonia Atocha hotel are complemented by three event rooms, Atocha and Delicias, which can be joined together to create a space with capacity for up to 160 people, and the new Moratín room, with light natural and 90 square meters.
