Feel the pull of Madrid from the Catalonia Plaza Mayor, a hotel that takes its name from this famous city square just a 10-minute walk away. Stay in the centrally located Las Letras neighbourhood in a historic building on Atocha street, in easy walking distance from Puerta del Sol and the city’s leading museums such as the Prado and the Reina Sofía. 

Some of our 80-plus rooms are fully adapted, while others boast a private pool. Then there is the magnificent Imperial Suite. Get your day off to a flying start with our breakfast buffet and stop off to enjoy a snack on the Gastrobar terrace anytime. After a day seeing the sights or doing business, nothing beats relaxing in our jacuzzi or hitting the gym to keep in shape. The Catalonia Plaza Mayor also has the Madrid meeting room, ideal for all types of events that we would be delighted to organise and make them a success.

GASTROBAR

An informal space where you can eat or have a drink whenever you feel like it, without sacrificing quality and flavor. On the gastrobar menu you will find everything from snacks to dishes inspired by Mediterranean cuisine such as meat, fish, pasta and more. If you fancy a cocktail, you can have one of the classics or dare with more innovative proposals from our bartenders. In addition, the bar has a 52-inch TV with sports channels so you don't miss a thing.

ROOM SERVICE

We know how comfortable it is in our rooms, so why go out? In our room service you will find the variety you are looking for without leaving the comfort of your room. Let yourself be surprised by the dishes on our menu, based on Mediterranean cuisine, balanced and full of flavours. Choose between options of meat, fish, pasta, pizza, as well as vegetarian and vegan dishes. You decide what you want to eat and we'll take it to your room.

BREAKFAST BUFFET

Have breakfast every day as if it were Sunday in our large buffet. Choose between hot dishes with eggs, sausages and bacon, as well as natural juices, fruit skewers, hummus, organic cereals, cold meats, cheeses, also in a vegan version, and much more. Make your breakfast even more exclusive with a smoked salmon toast and a glass of cava. If you prefer, we can bring it up to your room so you can start the day in complete comfort (at an additional cost).

If the name of the credit card supplied when booking at the Catalonia Plaza Mayor hotel is not the same as the name of the guest, please contact the hotel in advance. Credit card is required from the client who stays not being valid cards of other holders. The hotel reserves the right to pre-authorise the credit card prior to the entry date. If the card is invalid, we will contact you to request a valid card. If more than 24 hours have passed, the reservation may be cancelled.

For bookings of more than 4 rooms or more than 8 nights, payment must be made in advance at this establishment. Once the booking has been made, the hotel will contact guests to organise advance payment, being non-refoundable.

There is private parking in the adjoining building. It is necessary to reserve. Price: EUR 28 per day.

Requests regarding bed options are subject to availability.

Spa: children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Entrance to spa not permitted to children under the age of 14.

 One dog or cat under 20 kg per room only  (on request). Supplement of €25 night/animal and €200 deposit.
