changed to premium room which cost 30 euro per day. no mirror or dressing table in room to do makeup. robes didnt fit either of us . staff were very friendly. would go back again at a cheaper rate .

Spring vacation

Returned again to the Oro Negro happy as usual with my stay but as a multiple stay guest my experience was a little disappointing. In general all my expectations were met but would have happy if I was advised of ongoing construction work. This work impacted seriously on my experience.

This stay was our 4th, Christmas 2023 we were not happy with our room, the reception were very kind and changed our room without any fuss to room 1138 this April visit was very good indeed,we were in room 1136 really very nice . Another great stay at Oro Negro

Great mini break at this hotel. Perfect room with view over Las Americas. Great night sleep in comfortable bed. Could have been improved if it was a double bed rather than singles. Price of dinner has increased and quality has declined. Variety is still good but quality of main products not as good. Cheaper cuts of meat used. Could also be more flavour and spice used. Vegetables were particularly dull. Overall good experience and value for money.

Our stay

We have used the chain many times and are happy members. I had to ask at reception to have the bathroom cleaned after only receiving towels for 2 days, not even the sink was wiped. The terrace was not once cleaned. You need to instruct your staff to not erlaugh the blocking of sun beds. Clearly signed everywhere but no notice is taken. I saw beds blocked the whole day, very selfish towards other guests. The staff is very friendly.

Love this hotel

This is the third time we've stayed at Oro Negro. Location fine for us as we don’t mind the walk to the beach. Worthwhile paying extra for a premium room, albeit the room was a little 'tired'. Great to have access to the roof terrace. Food selection more than ample but not always hot enough. However, there was a microwave which I used sometimes. Staff friendly and helpful.

Fabulous new room

We have stayed at this hotel before, this was our 4th time. This time we were in one of the rooms that they were doing up when we were there in October. I have to say that the room was absolutely lovely, very clean, bright. All new furniture and the balcony with the sunloungers was a god send. Fabulous bathroom, great powerful shower. Definitely want to stay in this room when we come back for 2 weeks in October. Food was lovely, great choices every night, you won't go hungry. We love this hotel and look forward to our next visit.

Ageing

Stayed for 4th year in a row. Always premier room. However room are rather tired. Rooms are not premier in themselves, only by having access to roof terrace and a few small niceties. Awful problems with lifts not working every day. They need to invest in room renovation and new lifts.

Another great stay @ Catalonia oro negro

We arrived @ 8.45, the woman at reception told us to leave our luggage and go down for dinner. When we finished she had checked us in and we made our way to our room. Room's are nothing fancy but they are clean and comfortable. We had upgraded so we had a fridge, definitely need to keep drinks cold. Bed's were comfortable. Food in the restaurant is good, lot's of choice at breakfast and dinner (you won't go hungry). Staff in restaurant are lovely, 2 older men can come across as not very pleasant but all the younger men/women are very good. The older woman with long blonde hair is very nice and will have a chat with you. Rooftop is a nice (adults only) plenty of sunbeds around the pool. Didn't use main pool but always seemed to be loads of sun beds. Have stayed at this hotel 3 times and have booked to go back in January and October of 2024.

2nd stay this year

Love this hotel. It has the hardest working staff who are all helpful and friendly. Only downside was the reserving of places round by the pool by people placing the tables where they wanted to sunbathe sometimes as early as 7.30. This didn't happen when I was here in August. I think towels shame people ate doing this. I would however come back as is a little gem! Great location and staff honored our request for a pool view room. Prices good too for food and drink

Decent Hotel

The hotel is a 3* and it shows with food choices. The rooms are a little dated and would def need a refurb. Had a few issues with aircon but this was sorted quick enough. Some of the staff definitely need a refresher on good customer service. All in all you get what you pay for.

2 week august stay

Stayed here for the second year in a row. My partner and I cannot fault our stay in anyway. The hotel area has recently been upgraded and is lovely. Will definitely be back.
