Hotels with a sauna

The dry sauna, also called the Finnish sauna, is characterized by the dryness of the environment. Inside there is no water or steam, with a humidity level of between 5 and 20% and with temperatures that range between 70 and 100 º C. Its structure of benches where you can sit or lie down is made with wood of high quality, such as oak or magnolia, and is heated by a central stove. Lighting plays a very important factor in saunas, usually with soft lighting that invites relaxation.

Originally in Scandinavian countries and Russia, the sauna was used to combat low temperatures, as a space for socialization and also for therapeutic purposes for both the body and the mind. One of the main benefits of this is the purification of toxins from the body, since many are eliminated through sweat, which is achieved given the high temperatures inside the sauna. Sweating also contributes to skin care, since it eliminates dead cells, promoting the renewal of the skin barrier. Sweating also prevents fluid retention, therefore promoting weight loss.

On the other hand, the sauna improves breathing, since the high temperature causes the mucus to become more fluid, thus facilitating the expectoration processes through the respiratory tract. Without forgetting that sauna sessions combined with cold water baths are a good method to relax muscles, especially after playing sports. Finally, the sauna ritual is also perfect for reducing stress and anxiety, both the elimination of toxins and body relaxation are key to calming your mind.
